What the SelfRefer Psych Programs is:

-
Confidential & Anonymous – your details are not provided to the QPS. The QPS only receives an invoice with the following information: a de-identified number (e.g. QPS1002), number of sessions you’ve attended and the Provider’s details.
-
Increased Availability – The providers (Matt at Redlands Counselling) have agreed to prioritising QPS employees in their schedules.
-
Funded sessions – QPS will fund 6 sessions or 6 hours equivalent for Psychology sessions per employee, per Financial Year. There are options it can be extended as well.

What the SelfRefer program isn’t:
An internal service – whilst SelfRefer is funded by QPS, all of the providers within the SelfRefer network are external to the QPS and work in private practices. This means that the information is protected in line with the Providers professional code of ethics and guidelines for confidentiality..
Critical Support Service – SelfRefer is best utilised as a mechanism to seek help early or proactively, it is not an immediate critical support service for an acute injury or illness.

Redlands Counselling Service provides Counselling to Birkdale, Wellington Point, Capalaba, Manly, Ormiston, Wynnum, Cleveland, Thorneside, Thornlands, Wakerley, Redland Bay, Mount Cotton, Chandler, Sheldon, Victoria Point, and other suburbs across Brisbane.
