How much does counselling cost?
Individual counselling is $140 per session (1 hour)
Couple Counselling $160 per session (1 hour).
There is a $60 deposit when booking for an appointment, this is deducted from total.
Payments can be made by cash or credit/debit card payments. There is a $2 charge for card services. Private health rebates available.
What does the counselling room look like?
The counselling room is a quite, safe and private location, allowing you to feel comfortable in the process. The room is set up to lessen anxiety and stress on the first session. I have had many wonderful positive comments from clients.
What are your opening hours?
Open Monday to Saturday
Monday - 4pm
Tuesday - 8am to 5:30pm
Wednesday - 8am to 4pm
Thursday 8:30am to 6pm
Friday 8:30am to 4pm
Saturday 9:30am to 11am
There is no extra charge for after normal business hours
How long are the sessions?
The duration of counselling sessions is 60 minutes. If you wish to have longer a session, please email or call.
What happens in the first session?
In our initial counselling session I will discuss confidentiality, ethics, payment, bookings and no show policies with you. This process ensures we can work together and do so within safe and clear boundaries. Once that is done and the paperwork completed, I would like to get to know you by asking questions. This opportunity is so you can ask any questions or concerns you might have in the process of counselling.
How many sessions will I need?
We can discuss this in your first session - it may be that you have a particular number of sessions in mind, or you may prefer to see how you feel as we progress through our sessions. I am happy to work on a short-term or open-ended basis.
Most clients only need 4-6 sessions in order to see change in their life. However, couple's counselling can take longer to set goals, work on skills and see change.
Don't wait until your relationship is in trouble to see me, the average for couples counselling is 6 months, which is cheaper than a divorce !
