Welcome to Redlands Counselling Service. I'm Matt Vincent, the owner and principal counsellor, and is committed to providing compassionate and effective support to individuals navigating life's complexities right here in Capalaba, Queensland. My journey in counselling is driven by a genuine passion for fostering positive change and empowering people to lead more fulfilling lives.

My Therapeutic Philosophy and Approach
As a professional counsellor, I embrace an eclectic, evidence-based approach, tailoring my methods to suit each client's unique needs. My core philosophy revolves around empowering individuals to develop robust coping skills and cultivate resilience. I firmly believe in holistic counselling, recognizing the interconnectedness of mind, body, and spirit in overall well-being. To this end, I frequently integrate clinical hypnotherapy into my therapeutic practice, offering a powerful tool for profound change.

My extensive training and experience have equipped me with a diverse range of therapeutic modalities. I draw from established frameworks such as Gottman Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Rational Emotive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Person-Centred, and Gestalt Therapy. This breadth of knowledge allows me to create a flexible and responsive therapeutic environment, ensuring you receive the most appropriate and effective support.
